Advanced Self Care Intensive
(for Self Care Series graduates only)
The Advanced Self Care Intensive, will be an opportunity to go deeper into your individual growth, in the presence of loving community. This intensive will be experiential, including but not limited to: partner work, group exercises, role play. It will be active and interactive at times, with time for reflection and processing in the form of writing and meditation. In addition each participant will have the opportunity to do some individual piece of work, of about 30-45 minutes with the group holding space for them and possibly participating in their piece of work.
We will be:
- Telling our stories
- Practicing the skills and principles of loving
- Working with our different parts (The Judge, The Critic, The Controller, The Inner Child, and whoever shows up!),
- Experiencing and releasing emotions, trapped emotions
- Exploring our somatic experience (the body)
- Working on a particular issue we would like to shift
The intensive will run for four weeks with one outing to be determined, possibly on a Saturday or Sunday. There is also the option of doing an outing on the day of our session and extending our time to five weeks instead of four. Meets Wednesdays.

Truth Circles begin with an exploration of truth, what it means, why we need to know our own truth, how we can live into our truth as well as what makes it so hard to be truthful in our world. Gagos says, “We spend a lot of time lying to ourselves and others. This deception cuts off the vital life force energy that allows us to feel free and experience flow in our lives. Creating truth circles seemed like a natural extension of what I was witnessing over and over in groups and in one on one coaching; people feel freer, more alive and lighter, when they have a safe place where they can be honest, even about their deepest shame. Having a place where they can show their true selves, then gives them the courage to live more authentically in their personal and professional lives.”
A truth circle is an opportunity to come clean about what we feel, what we want, and who we are, in the presence of others and reclaiming that for ourselves. Participants are asked to leave their mask at the door, at least for the four weeks they will spend telling their truths and holding the truths of others. All that is said in the circle is completely confidential. We will spend time in partnerships asking and answering tough questions and then re- enter the circle to share some of the insights we are experiencing with one another. We will tell the stories that have shaped our lives and participate in group processes that help us integrate what we are learning about ourselves.
Truth circles will run in four week cycles usually beginning on the second Wednesday of every month. Participants will need to commit to all four sessions in order to build trust, safety and community.
We will do a lot of partner work, and group process work geared toward letting down the mask, and coming clean in our lives so that we can begin to live into our truth.
Next One in September
Circles will start back up in the fall. Must register in advance and commit to all four sessions in the cycle. Space limited to 8 participants. Investment $100, $25 per session. Call Stephanie at 914-419-8323 to register.
